Long Lasting Cut Florals

Cut flowers should not be placed near fresh fruit.  Fresh fruit produces ethylene gas which will shorten the flowers’ life. 

Remove all leaves on the stems of the cut flowers that are being placed below the water surface. This preserves the flower or floral bouquet.

Cut 1 to 2 inches of the stems off at a 45-degree angle when placing in water.  This preserves the flower or floral bouquet.

Add ice to water & keep in cool location to lose less water.  This preserves the flower or floral bouquet.
